ROASTED LEAVES 焙じ茶 is a type of Japanese green tea that is made by roasting the leaves of the tea plant over high heat. The roasting process gives the tea a unique flavor profile that is distinct from other types of Japanese green tea.
The mellow and slightly nutty flavor of hojicha is a popular accompaniment to Japanese cuisine and dessert, particularly sushi, seafood dishes and daifuku.
